What excactly are the faults of Fanny Price?

I recently read an article/essay about the Cranforts in the very interesting blog of ladylavinia here and it inspired me to write my own thought s on Fanny Price (mainly) and the Cranfords.

As you probably know Fanny Price is the heroine in Jane Austen’s 1814 novel Mansfield Park and she describes her as “extremely timid and shy, shrinking from notice afraid of everyone and everything”. She is the daughter of a poor retired marine lieutenant with an awful lot of brothers and sisters, who has some rich relatives and she is sent off to live with them. There she is treated like the poor relation she is and her status is almost no better than that of a servant’s.
